These terms apply to services, web hosting, domain names and products purchased from Simple Computers 101. By placing an order or using our services you agree to them.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your password secure, and for all activity under your account.
Billing and renewals
- Hosting is billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. Domain names are billed per registration period.
- Renewal invoices are created before the due date. If you have a card on file, it is charged automatically on the due date.
- Hosting services on invoices that remain unpaid after the due date may be suspended, and may be terminated if left unpaid. Domains that are not renewed will expire.
- Maine sales tax is charged where required by law.
Cancellations and refunds
You may request cancellation of a hosting service from the client area at any time; the service remains active until the end of the paid period. Domain registrations cannot be refunded once registered. Product refunds and returns are handled case by case according to the manufacturer's warranty.
Acceptable use
Hosting services may not be used for illegal content, spam, malware, phishing, or activity that harms our servers or other customers. We may suspend services that violate this policy.
Products and installation
Products are ordered on your behalf when your order is placed and are available for local pickup or installation. Shipping, when needed, is arranged with you directly. Manufacturer warranties apply to all products.
Limitation of liability
We take care with your equipment and data, but we recommend keeping your own backups. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine.
